About Us – Our Mission
Who We Are
The Exodus Road Truth is an independent investigative journalism project dedicated to holding anti-human trafficking non-profits accountable. We are not affiliated with any organization, political party, or advocacy group. Our sole mission is transparency and truth.
Why This Site Exists
This site was created after multiple former employees, witnesses, and anti-trafficking professionals came forward with evidence of serious misconduct at The Exodus Road (TER), a Colorado Springs-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN: 46-1384815).
The allegations include:
- Financial misconduct – 88% of donations spent on executive salaries, travel, and entertainment
- Fake rescues – manufacturing cases by targeting legal, regulated bars
- Sexual misconduct – documented in the Global Observer investigation and the Open Letter
- Abuse of power – silencing whistleblowers through NDAs and legal threats
- Corruption – paying officials to arrest innocent business owners
Our Editorial Standards
Every claim on this site is supported by verifiable evidence from one or more of the following sources:
- Public financial records – IRS Form 990 filings available through ProPublica Nonprofit Explorer
- Investigative journalism – The Global Observer investigation interviewed 15+ people
- Witness testimony – Statements from former employees, Thai nationals, and other NGO workers
- Court and legal records – Including the Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie law firm investigation findings
- The Exodus Road's own publications – Their financial statements and public communications

Independence Statement
This is an independent investigation. We are not funded by any organization, competitor, or political entity. Our team consists of concerned individuals – including former staff, investigative journalists, and anti-trafficking professionals – who believe the public has a right to know how their donation money is being spent.
Commitment to Accuracy
We are committed to factual reporting. If any information on this site is demonstrably inaccurate, we will correct it promptly. We encourage The Exodus Road to respond publicly to these allegations with evidence rather than legal threats.
To request a correction or provide additional evidence, contact us at theexodusroadtruth@proton.me
Censorship Attempts
The Exodus Road's legal team has had this website removed 3 times. Each time, mirror sites have been created. The original Open Letter, published on Medium in February 2021 and co-signed by 10+ former staff members, was also removed through legal pressure. We have preserved it on this site because the public has a right to this information.
When you put innocent people in jail, lie to donors, and use a charity for personal gain, people band together and fight back.
